Let's go over the summary again real quick. Shall we?

 

Long ago, in the far reaches of space, there existed a world as pure and blue as the Earth. And on this world, there lived two "Queens" with the power to control it. When the world is thrown into chaos by one of those queens, a young boy and a young girl must stand up to challenge her for the sake of protecting all that they hold dear.
 

 

Chapter 1

 

 

It opens with a scene of two queens. The naming of them is really simple. "Queen of Light" and "Queen of Darkness". Now the Queen of Darkness is afraid that the Queen of Light will steal her powers so starts a war with her. The planet is divided into two sides and goes to war which results in the death of the Queen of Light. But, the "New Queen" will be born soon, and so, in her fear the queen of Darkness puts out a new rule.

 

Any new born is to be brought to her so she can check that it isn't the New Queen and holds none of her powers. Every state except one complies to this law as she looks for the baby. This country, Ageha, The Swallowtail Continent lays of the shore of the main mass, surrounded by the sea, and also making it hard for the Queen of Darkness to remain in power over it. Ageha orginally fought for the Queen of Light and still continues to disobey the Queen of Darkness. They have defied her dark law for nearly 15 years.

She has grown tired of their small rebllion for now and has the Prime Minister of the country sent for. Once he arrives with his two huge guards the Queen of Darkness reveals that she sent someone to look for the New Queen in his country and her soldier was returned to her, dead, slain by a weapon from Ageha. In reaction to this she believes they are haboring the New Queen and declares war on the Kingdom of Ageha.

The Prime Minister swears that it must be a misunderstanding or someone trying to make them go to war, but the Queen of Darkness won't go for it. The war has already started she says, and will end shortly as she plans to use the 'Queen's Power', the ability to 'control the world'. She plans to bury the continent of Ageha beneath the sea. The Prime Minister trys to stop her from doing it.

Back in Ageha a large black spike has potruded from the ground near a village/ or farm. More pillars erupt as we learn that maybe Ageha is a country of gaints (seriously, all the people look huge in the pictures, and then there is the dinosuars...).

So, the Prime Minister and his guards look like they will be fighting for the country back at the Queen of Darkness' castle. A battle ensues and quickly is over, though no one appears to be dead, just knocked out. The Ageha representatives have won and say they will not kill her minions but the Queen herself is another matter in order to protect their country.

Then, a stranger arrives on the scene, covered in black with some really long tail coming out from his head. Which is apprently a weapon that he uses to put a deep crack in the floor to keep the Prime Minister from the Queen of Darkness. Another battle is started between the Ageha representatives and snake head. To be ended shortly, but the Queen of Darkness will not let them die yet, they must first see their home perish at her power.

To Ageha! Destruction, and running people, the sounds of dinasours being slaughtered! (mwhahaha!) We meet Sanagi here in the middle of this chaos (nicely drawn, details strapaganza). More crazed land destruction, people falling, diansours going extinct all over again. Then back to Sanagi and a girl named Mayu.

An Elder appears, explaining the situation to the two children and a woman. Sanagi has a fit of rage proclaiming that he never wants to see the destruction the Queen's Power can do again and doesn't care which Queen uses it. He shall kill them!

Other families have also escaped from this turmoil and taken haven in another country. But, the Queen of Darkness will send out someone to kill them all and erase the last few traces of Ageha. She also believes that the New Queen is among them but has no 'awoken' yet.

It would appear that snake head has been given this task dubbed executioner. Sorry, snake head is the wrong term, "shooting star soliders" (makes some sense). The only people that can fight them is a "tail hunter" Sanagi wants to kill the Queen of Darkness but is still training to become a tail hunter.

Good thing Rob shuts him up with a punch, of course this causes a fight. So Rob and 'little catterpillar, Sanagi get in a fight. Adorable Mayu interupts the fight for a slipt second to wish her friend good luck.

Sword Art Online Episode 4

 

The Black Swordsman

 

This is Silica, dragon tamer extrodinare. Though the class she is in is reffered to as beast tamers. We open up with a scene of her and the guild she's in, arguing with the leader, Rosalia.

 

Presumably, she quits and goes off into the forest by herself trying to get out. Now, Pina-her dragon friend-is killed while trying to protect her from a beast. The creature also has the ability to heal others. Interesting, huh?

 

Well, Kirito of course saves her. He always has time to save random women in peril.

 

 

They become friends over a small amount of time. Kirito tells Silica about an item at the Hill of Memories on 47th floor. This item could revive Pina within three days of it's death. Kirito also extends a helping hand of going with her to look for it.

 

But first we must have cheesecake! (that's what the above picture is from)

 

Later in the room, Kirito notices someone is eavesdropping on them. He rushed out to catch them in the act, but they are gone.

 

 

After being patted down by a low level giant monster flower Silica makes her way to the Hill of Memories without to much further perverted plants catching her unguarded.

 

"Don't look Kirito!"

 

She gets there just fine and picks the flower. Now all she has to do is get into a safe zone (aka. town) and she can revive Pina.

 

Right?

 

 

Wrong. You may not pass this is bridge troll.

 

Rosalia is back with some different guild members, Titan's Hand. The guild is one of 'orange players', they commit crimes and are after the Pneuma Flower that Silica holds.

 

At this point her guildians come out from behind the trees to attack Kirito, the only person standing in the way of their goal.

 

 

Unfortunetly for them, Kirito is a much higher level and can regenerate a certain amount of health over a few seconds of time. The Titan's Hand 'goons' don't the power to go over that health and therefore can't hurt him at all. Which explains why it looks like he's not losing any health.

 

Realizing they can't fight him they stop to realize he is "the black swordsman", a beater. Then Kirito reveals that he has been using Silica as bait to lure out Rosalia-which he apologizes for to the beast tamer.

 

After that he sends them to prison. Pina is also later revived and Kirito sticks around long enough to promise Silica that he will meet her in the real world.

 

Coming Up

So due to me being gone for a couple weeks while I got myself settled in the new apartment let's go over what I having going on right now and what's coming up.

With the Nerve Gear, a virtual reality Helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds.

Heaven's Will (manga) - Sudou Mikuzu has a very special talent—she can see ghosts. And because of this predisposition she's become a magnet for all sorts of unwelcome monsters. Luckily for her she's just met Seto, a friendly cross dressing young exorcist. Mikuzu needs protection from all the creepy phantoms bugging her, and Seto needs to practice his exorcism skills. From the deserted island, she sends a message out to sea, which is picked up by Mahiro Fuwa, a young boy who's sworn vengeance upon the criminal who killed his little sister, Aika. Mahiro agrees to help Hakaze under the condition that she find Aika's killer with her magic. But once Mahiro's best friend and Aika's lover, Yoshino Takigawa is rescued from danger, he too gets dragged into this tale of revenge

Sword Art Online Episode 3

 

The Red Nosed Reindeer

 

 

Okay, so first four months have passed in SAO game time and the big guilds have been defeating floor after floor. But, in the meantime our hero, Kirito has saved a smaller guild called, Moonlit Black Cats. This errr 'feast' above is a token of thanks from the guild's leader, Keita. who has also asked for Kirito to join the guild.

 

Surprise here, he does join.

 

Woot! Kirito you're not a loaner anymore! Go have fun and make some friends! ^.^

 

 

Of course Kirito keeps it secret what his level is from his fellow guild members.

 

Bad, Kirito you must learn to trust others! -.-

 

 

So here's a few of the guild members. Luckily, I remeber one name. The girl is Sachi who confides in Kirito that she is scared of dying.

 

Aren't we all?

 

You know, if we had the misfortune to be in a game used as a deathtrap.

 

 

 So now that we've gotten to know the guild members and maybe fell in love with a few-mostly Sachi of course as Kirito interacted most with her-the time does a little skip ahead again. It's June 12, 2023 Keita goes off to buy a house for the guild. What do the members do?

 

Oh, that's right we go to a higher floor looking to level and get some more cash/equipment. Of course, yeah.

 

Well, here comes the tear jerkers everybody.

 

 

Remember, when a room goes red it's a trap and you should get out before the door closes. Unfortunetly our hero and his guildians get trapped inside the room with an empty chest. The onslaught of enemies arrives soon enough in waves. Which would contain lots of exp for them if they were of higher levels.

 

Obviously from the picture above Sachi and the rest of them die. Leaving Kirito to fend for himself. Who, mysteriously gets out-never told how this happened.

 

 

Hi Santa! You look.. old, and dead! Has Mrs. Claws been treating you good?

 

Oh, you're in a bad mood. Meet Kirito who's also in a bad mood after having his guild members killed infront of him and then Keita going sucide on us. Damn him.

 

We are going to 'Santa' for a mysterious item spread by a rumor that he posses to bring back the dead. You're all probably guessing where this is going. Kirito feels bad for letting his guildians die but especially for Sachi since they were close. He wants to bring her back to life and heads out in the forest to kill for his present.

 

We also meet Klein and his guild, Fuurinkazan on the way. Who do the honor of holding the Holy Dragons off since they want the same item as Kirito.

 

How nice.

 

 

So after killing Santa's evil twin brother with skin problems it is revealed that you must revive the person in three days time. Poor Kirito.

 

He goes back to his inn room for a message by Sachi to be delivered on Christmas Eve. She seems to know she would die before then and tells him so, saying it isn't his fault and to go on with his life and not die.

 

Afterwards, she hums 'rudolf the red noised reigndeer.'

 

Major tear jerker, it was so sad.

 



Sword Art Online Episode 2

Beater

I can't figure out what this is... Okay, I know what it is but couldn't it be a bit more complicated looking? This is a MMO we're seeing from a computer depth. Or does this only bother me?

Yeah, that's totally it.

This episode starts out with a meeting of groups of friends and "Knight" (the blue-haired guy) who rallies them up to take on the first level boss. Sound's awesome right? Sure, right before someone stands up and starts saying how the Beta's didn't help anybody and just better enriched themselves with killing easy level creatures.

And yes they did. But wouldn't you in that situation?

There just so happens to be a Beta in the crowd-besides Kirito obviously-who goes to talk on the podium and reveal that all members had the same infromation the Beta's had. With a guide book, created by the Beta's themselves.

Damn that one guy was a jerk, and an idiot.

In this episode we meet Asuna-your heroine, (yay!) a solo player who just so happened to be at the meeting to take on the first boss. Since Kirito is also a solo player in a meeting with people that all know eachother, the two naturally party up.

And so the quest continues...



Here's you first Boss, nastly looking bugger. Like part dog, part giant. Just a guess. Anyway he's a pain in the ass at first. But of course they beat him.

About the fight scene, I liked it. Nice, simple, smooth. Have to admit the attacks we're nothing special but they're all lower level players so they probably don't have any special moves unlocked yet. Will be great to see them in the upcoming episodes though.

Ahh, the ending. So after the Boss and-unfortunetly-Knight dies. (who by the way is revealed to be a Beta tester right before he sparkles away, basically) That one idiot from before is putting the blame on Kirito. (who apparently obtained a rare item for killing the boss, Coat of Midnight... whatever that does I'm thinking sneaky *puts on ninja gear*) Here Kirito reveals he is a Beta Tester, but for the sake of ther Beta testers singles himself out as 'special.' After being called out on being a Beta he is also called a cheater, hence the name, Beater.

As he moves to go up to the new level Asuna comes after him. For a moment it seems she's playing a blonde stereo type, what with not knowing she could see his name because they are in the same party (he yelled her name when she ran forward to attack, naturally she is curious how he knows it. mystery solved.) But she can also fight really well so she doesn't fit into that stereo type for even less than a second.

However, Kirito disbands their party and continues going solo at the end of this episode.

Sword Art Online Episode 1

Got to say, I was skeptical about watching this at first, even after reading the plot. But I'm so glad I gave it a chance.

Now this being the first episode it's mostly an introduction of the world which is just beautiful. I love the idea of a virtual game you can control with your brain (who doesn't?) and it was done reastically too. So bonus! I love the NerveGear helmet it just looks really cool. I'm going to do my best at not spoling this for those that havn't seen it but I will give a rundown.

Sword Art Online: An anime where real life people get trapped in a game by the creator. The only way to 'logout' is to beat the boss at Floor 100. Everyone will start at Floor One. Then basically the race is on!

Meet Klein, the boy who currently thinks he's in pain. Kirito meets him and they quickly become friends. I expect to see him later in the series though after they split at the end of this episode.

I loved the mirror. Unveiling everyone's real persona. Simply hilarious.

Just my introduction

I've been thinking about making a anime/manga blog for awhile, and now I'm finally getting around to it. Yay! So... yeah, this will not only be for anime and manga but also asian music, Japan things, and probably a few games too. Oh, and any Japan books I happen to read. Of course I'll stick some random non-related posts in there too.
